Dear Middle TN Brothers & Sisters,

Our CWA members in Middle Tennessee need your help protecting their jobs! Please join them at any of the meetings below as they speak out against a proposed ordinance that is going before the Metro Council in the near future.

TODAY (August 2nd) at the Metro Courthouse (First reading of the ordinance…council meeting begins at 6:30 p.m., arrive around 5 p.m.)

Monday, August 15th and Tuesday, August 16th (Committee meetings where the ordinance will be discussed…MORE DETAILS COMING ON THIS!)

Tuesday, August 16th (First vote on the ordinance at Metro Council Meeting)

Tuesday, September 6th (Final vote/reading before the Metro Council)

AT&T management has recently begun instructing our members to ignore the call before you dig laws and to bore under sidewalks, without securing locates. This is of particular concern to us, as the health and safety of our members is of the utmost importance. Additionally, we will not tolerate any company requesting that our members break the law in order to increase production. The call before you dig laws are different in each state throughout the District.
